With the last official ‘Cruise 4 Kids’ in 2008, it was time to re-live Australia’s largest and most diverse charity car cruise. After 3 years of red tape in getting the approvals from local councils and Police, the 2011 cruise was announced. With the event put on hold for so long, it was expected to be a huge turnout, in fact there was well over 4,000 cars in attendance, from all genres of the Australian car scene.
The nominated charity was the Westmead Childrens Hospital, and a total of $46,779.70 was raised to help support the sick children with juvenile diabetes and cancer. It was a great day for all involved, a celebration of the Sydney car scene supporting a great cause.
